it is called double stops if 2 strings are played, chord of more than 2. Some parts sounded like it is impossible to do double stops so it is possibly 2 violins playing. However, some parts sounded possible. I like this version coz it had some variation from the original Canon in D by Pachelbel. :D

This makes me want to learn violin.

Violin is one of the instruments which takes quite some time until you can start feeling a sense of accomplishment and joy from playing it though. Talking from personal experience, it took me 2-3 years to start enjoying the violin and before that it was painful to hear my own playing.

lol seriously back in my dad I also choked a someone from my class out of rage and I didn't get any punishment not even warning. Even some upper classman fight someone actually beat one guy to the point of going to hospital yet they only get one week suspension or something and also Princpal did punished them with stick in front of everyone

While time always moves forward, that doesn't mean things necessarily always get better or for that matter, make more sense

I was once of those quiet guys that always listen to the teachers. There was a "trip" that some of my classmates like to do in which they will gang up on someone completely random for fun, that day I was picked and got punched and kicked in different areas, I waited for a chance for a counter and did a roundhouse kick to one of them, he got a bleeding nose. When I was asked if I did it deliberately, I said I slipped and accidentally hit him. They believe me and they all got punishment

Dude has won countless trophies playing violin, yet he is unsure of recognizing Pachelbel Canon. Even if she is still learning, it's easily one of the most recognizable pieces.

i think they were trying to make it a point how badly she's butchering the song that even a professional musician cant even tell its canon.

I'm not a professional and I recognized it lol. I did play it when I was in High School, but he should have an ear for music and be able to recognize songs, even if horribly out of key. I understand that it's an anime and written this way for dramatic purposes, but at least should be written to the audience that will be reading and watching a story like this.

I guess this is just a bad adaptation of the manga, considering that there we can't hear her playing, this dialogue would make us think "is she really that bad?"

I got chills as soon as Aono started playing and cried when he smiled, it was so beautifully animated and the phrasing by the violinist was gorgeous beyond belief. Plus the way they let it carry into the credits instead of using the ED? Perfection

Takeda-sensei really is the best sensei, the way he encourages and supports Aono and Akine should be teacher goals

P.E. teacher knew she was being harassed... did he do something about it? Did he reprimand the girls who threw her uniform? Did he say something along the lines of "Hey you little f*cktards, quit doing that! If I caught wind that you bullied her again, I'll break you!"

thats what most teachers do tbh, private or public school.. i've had quite a share of being a bully and being bullied.. they will only talk it out and tell the other students to stop, but wont really do anything after that, bullying will resume after a week or so..
teachers being a guardian or a second parent is just bullshit, most of them dont care. thats why they cant get rid of it, coz none actually tries to protect students from the bullies.

I feel for you... you've known some sh!tty schools and teachers. But there are some out there that really cares and stops the bullying.

I'm married to a teacher. There are quite a number of instances that I've heard where they called out the parents of both parties and let them know what's happening at school.

There's this one that I saw, the bully's parents are so embarrassed and apologized to the other kid. I dunno what happened to the bully when they got home... maybe got some spankin'.

I just love it when people are doing the things that they love and are passionate about. Even if it has nothing to do with what I can do, it's just so euphoric to see.

BRO WTH this is just the second episode and I cried like 3 times!!! D: This one really hit with the feels! I'm so happy the story picked up after the first episode. This is about way more than just orchestra. This is about heartaches and burdens, overcoming them, and about growing relationships with others - not being so quick to judge.

Honestly, it was nice seeing how Aono didn't want to take out his anger towards his father on Akine's playing. He realized his own resentments and how it could affect how he treats others. Most people never realize these things about themselves. I'm liking our MC very much. He's mature but blinded and stubborn, but he's willing to change and grow. It's so refreshing having an MC like this!

As soon as Aono said Akine would start losing friends, I knew, even before they showed her eyes, that it hurt. I've had someone say that to me before and it stung like a bitch. But dayum I didn't expect her backstory to be THAT sad. It reminded me a lot of March Comes Like a Lion.

I was so happy that Akine said it straight to Aono - that his hating his father has nothing to do with the violin. It felt like FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT without actually seeing it dragged on an entire season, but the feeling of needing someone to say it was definitely there since we could sympathize with Aono's experiences.

I recognized Canon by the second note when Akine was playing it. My mind started reciting the fingerings lol. Her crappy playing is annoying but also endearing haha! Since she's so enthusiastic and is having fun and doesn't even realize herself how bad it is, but she knows she can do better - you can't really be mad at her. XD Her playing reminds me so much of when I first started violin. But when Aono played it, I was smiling so hard. He went all out sheeeesh.
